So, I was watching CNN news and they played a story about this young man. I didn’t catch all of the details, I only caught the end of the story but apparently he has struck again. I googled “Barefoot Bandit” and this is one of the articles I found. I couldn’t believe all the robberies they think hes been involved in and it was even more surprising that he is still a free man. Although, when you read this, you’ll see that he was captured once and sent to a detention hall but escaped. My question is, who is this kid?! And what is his motivation? Does he just like messing around with the police or is it something more than that? Either way, I’m intrigued.
Interesting story. I wonder why he hasn’t been caught when he took a picture of himself and is basically taunting the cops. Considering a Hollywood producer wants to make a movie about the Barefoot Bandit’s life, I find it surprising that Colton Harris-Moore hasn’t been in the public eye as much as would be expected.
This kid is absolutely nuts! I’m shocked at how many clues he has left the police and even matching his DNA to the blood on an ATM machine that they have not found him. Escaping the halfway house should have been the immediate red flag for the police to not give up on this menace. This string of felonies needs to be put to an immediate end but it seems as though he’s actually a source of entertainment. The public have made Facebook groups about this kid and are even selling tee shirts in his honor! But what cracks me up is that a Hollywood producer wants to actually make a movie out of this “Barefoot Bandit.”
I think it’s amazing what this kid has done and been able to get away with. If and when they catch him I wouldn’t be surprised if he racked up something close to a life sentence in jail. He does seem to be taunting the media which makes me surprised that he hasn’t been caught for good, especially after all the clues from pictures to DNA that he has left behind. It almost seems as if the public is making him more of a phenomenon than a criminal from all the press eluding around his supposed character, the “Barefoot Bandit.”
